Not to be confused with the old name for espresso.
This delight is Crema di Caffe, a silky smooth ice cream piped from a machine like a soft serve cone, but so much better.
If you are traveling to Italy this summer do not miss this quick treat in the Italian bar. It's cold and creamy and with a sweet coffee kick. Usually this coffee is served in an oversized shot glass. Never too much, because living the sweet life in moderation is an Italian skill. Indulge on a hot sunny day while touring Florence or Venice or Rome.
Ask for "crema di caffe fredda, per favore."
